Riders are enthusiastically instructed until they understand “why” correct training methods are used, not just “how” to perform a movement. Tolerance and safety are always of foremost importance.Students learn discipline, patience and self-confidence and the spirit of sportsmanship. Horses develop a healthy work ethic, independent thinking and problem solving skills We do not rent Horses out for riding
Riding Lessons:
We offer lessons from beginner through advanced
Lessons are given to children 5 yrs and up
Riders under age 18 MUST wear a helmet when mounted
(Couch Horse Ranch recommends all rider wear a helmet)
All students are required to wear long pants & riding boots
Riding styles we offer are:
Western, English, Jumping, Gymkhana(Ie : barrels , poles, keyhole...)

Leading a horse
Turnout & Tying
Grooming & Bathing
Tacking up & Un-tacking
In & Out of the saddle
Reading a horse

Tack care

$30.00 per hour lesson
* Prices subject to change without notice
Tack up time will be included in the first few lessons untill the student can tack up and untack by themselves, after which tack up time is not included in lesson. Students are required to be here 30 min. prior to scheduled lesson to tack up before scheduled lesson starts.
